Flexo printing

Today there is a general trend to print packaging in shorter series than before. This stems from an increasing tendency to change the packaging more frequently, e.g. through various campaigns, in order to remain competitive in the battle of the brands.

In recent years flexographic printing has undergone considerable development, which has resulted in higher quality, particularly concerning picture images.

Some of this development has taken place within repro and inks, but at Stenqvist we believe that much of the development takes place prior to these stages, where much of our knowledge and experience comes into play.

Jan Karlsson, Stenqvist's Production Manager, emphasizes the importance of doing things right at the earliest stages, beginning with photographer.

Jan’s knowledge of the various influences on flexographic printing quality can provide important direction for photographers and advertising agencies concerning lighting and choice of colours. This know-how can be the difference between achieving merely mediocre and excellent flexographic printing results.
